ANA BERISTAIN AGUIRRE
Deputy Director of Projects for Healthy and Inclusive Communities, General Directorate of Community Service, UNAM.
Master’s in Economics of Natural Resources and Sustainable Development by the National Autonomous University of Mexico and Bachelor of Economics from the Christopher Columbus University of Veracruz. She completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Higher Social Studies of the National University of San Martín in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ana currently works at UNAM’s General Management of Service to the Community (DGACO), where she coordinates the gender agenda, sex diversity, interculturality and care for people with disabilities for university students.
She is responsible for the PUMA Thesis Contest on Sustainable Development and is a professor at UNAM’s Faculty of Sciences since 2016. From 2003 to 2007 she worked at the Rural Planning and the Regulation Departments, both belonging to Mexico City’s Tlalpan District.
